    Default Casting Saturday

Spent the morning casting weapons and weight forwards 2 miles north of west sister. Found a small pocket of active fish and continued to make short drifts over them. Weight forwards worked best right and the swing. 5/8 ounce fire tiger sure shad. Several small fish but kept 7. Rough seas made feeling the bite tough. Surface of water covered with grass. Would be tough trolling in this area.

Nice hearing a casting report. I have to ask though, what are the weight forwards ?

Casted tonight from 7:00 - 8:30 11 miles out from Meinkes at 60 degrees. 10 count on gold backed green fish scale blades on home made weapons. Ended up with 10 walleye and a few throw backs. Fish would hit it and you would have to stop reeling and they would hit it again as it was falling.

    Default Love it

I love headin good casting reports!!! When we get bites like that we point the rid tip back at the fish and pull it back to us slow and they usually jump all over it works great ..... Good program and great post keep it up!!

    Default same here

That is the same thing we do. It is had for new guys to get the feel for it but once they do they understand what that bite feels like. 90 percent of the fish I catch bite like that. Nice report and good luck to everyone.

PZeiler - Thanks for the report. We fished Saturday morning & Sunday evening - 11.1 miles out of Meinke's (at 60 degrees). Caught 12 keepers Saturday and 11 Sunday. Green/Gold blades were best. Hopefully we can get out there again before they move....
