Has anyone been up around the wheel area yet-casting, any info on call-in procedures , licenses or phone numbers for customs would be helpful.....

You still run the risk of getting an officer who reads the rules differently and your in for a pile troubles. Exact reason I do not fish canadian waters anymore. U.S. border patrol, never had any problems with the OPP.
I know 2 buddies who fished there a week or so ago and said it hasn't turn on yet there.

Fished NW of Gull today on the line. Looked to be about 50 boats on the wheel today. Fella's were pullin fish real steady on our side directly south of the wheel on the line today. Was a beautiful day for sure. Mike

Fished sat 06/16 about 2 miles north of the wheel. 3 guys, we got 12 nice fish. Lots of sheephead. Gold/green some purple harnesses near the bottom. 20-25". slow pick but a pic none the less. Doesnt seem like there are a ton of fish there. Heard about a nice bite by the helo pad NE of pelee. Thought gonna make the run but were catching just enough fish to stay where we were. Gonna go again this wknd, bass comes in too this wknd.
