    Default thursday mornibg bonanza!

walleye back on the feed, we crushed them on spoons west of west siste. One of those days you had to see to believe. Never got all the rods in back to dock by 945. Really nice fish 18-26" and a 28.5.
Nice not many boats out weather is great

If the fish are biting that well then I would assume the mayfly's must not be too bad? We are thinking of coming down this weekend but had heard the fly's were pretty bad which usually means fishing will be poor for a couple of weeks. Your report makes me think otherwise. Glad to hear they're feeding!

I have never had a problem catching walleye during the mayfly hatch. The eyes are usually in the the upper 1/3 of the water column and they are usually on the feed bag. Weather and water clarity has more to do with the walleye bite than the mayfly hatch. If you troll try varying your speed and depth. If casting try from a splash count to 10 or 11 count, you will most often get them some where between those numbers.
