Default 5/26 report Cigar in order

We started at D can trolling purple harnesses from small boards and tru trip jets back 25 to 30. We trolled all the way in to tussant reef and managed a 3 man limit of 18 nice walleye. Started small, 6 throw backs. but size improved as the weather improved. lots of 18 to 24 inchers Even caught a few on bare naked RR back 40 ft. Bite really got strong after wind settled down from 4 to 6 pm.

What time did you start your troll? The direction of your troll was mostly into the wind and I am not comfortable doing that. Your speed across the ground was probably very slow but obviously productive. By 6 PM we were all back in Warren OH and had cleaned our 16 eyes.

First report of inside the cans and on the reefs in a while, anyone fishing on west of you?

We were the only boat in the shallow water, the pack of boats was working around D can. We were surprised there were bigger fish in the shallow water but figured maybe they were coming in to feed.

    Default Troll speed and direction

Dr Ed, we trolled with the wind at around 2 mph, heading S.W. and turned back into the wind whenever we hit a pocket of fish and wanted to make another pass at them at around 1.6. The fish seemd to want them a little faster so we started pulling the bags to increase our speed to around 2.0 when heading into the wind as well.

    Hope this helps.
