    Default Anyone using lead core?

I rigged a couple reels with 4 colors of lead recently, i caught a couple of fish on it but it has not produced like it is said to, for me at least. If anyone uses it much can you share your experience with it? Thanks to all that reply.

i havent used the lead core, but i,m planning on trying the 300 copper this year for walleye on the central basin of lake erie. so im trying something new this year. but i do most of my fishing from 55 to 65 ft with my lite bite slide divers, and the 300 30# is sopposed to run 50 to 55 ft, so i can start at the 300 ft and just let out alittle more line as needed to get on the fish. hope me luck.

I've never seen the need for lead core but I am willing to keep an open mind. One learns from the experience of others. Let me know how you do.

I used to use 2,3,4, colors of leadcore years ago. It worked pretty well for me but it seemed like I was reeling forever to get the fish in. Haven't tried it in a long time. I use dipsys and jets instead.

I'm an Eastern basin fisherman and fished put in bay in may, we used 27# 5 color leadcore and crushed them. We put over 30 fish in the boat on leadcore with harnesses. We ran an easy program leadcore, 2oz torpedo divers with harnesses, and deep diving reef runners on mono. Dont ever discount lead core, its a staple in my program for charters and tournys.
