weekend catching report..

Wow, another great weekend on the water fri,sat, and sun were all limits of nice fish. I was fishing NE of the range cans. We trolled reef runners back 65 to 80. Our speed was 1.6 knots.

how far back were you trolling the reef runners? Also we're they deep diving or shallow. Im new to trolling and looking to troll around mamuee bay would that be a good place?

We were trolling back 65 to 80 feet. Yes they are deep divers. Maumee Bay would not be my choice right now. I would fish deeper water off around the reef where there are shallow areas next to the deep water.

Good job. It was a tough weekend for us. Saturday only produced pain and suffering West of the bass islands. Sunday we fished the north side of kellys. Lots of marks, speeds less than 1.3 proved to be best with harnesses but we struggled to turn pullbacks into fish in the box. My buddy did get his first FO but not much else.
