Most of the hotels in Port Clinton are decent, there are other places in Marblehead and Lakeside. You'll probably want to launch at Catabwa SP or Mazurik. Another idea for you is staying at one of the resorts on East or West Harbor and keeping your boat at a dock. I've stayed at Mar Lu several times, it's clean and cheap. There are quite a few resorts that have docks and most are as cheap as the hotels. As far as eats, my favorite is Waldo Peppers, I've never left disappointed. Other good places are Cleats, Mon Ami, Jolly Roger. Good Luck!

I've been staying here for quite a few years. Close to most everything. http://www.holidayvillageresort.com/
Used to stay at Mar-lu's, it is a good place also.
