jig color?

Are purple jigs still the color to use? Last time I went out, we drifted over niagra and got 11 on john deer green jigs with minnow? Thanks!!

Last wed-fri we got our 4 man limit every day on 3/4 oz purple, no bait with wire stinger hooks. Cone/ locust/ flat rock.

The real early bite was best. We had 6 big ones on our first drift. Little slower but steady after that. We had luck in the afternoon casting to the sides and upwind of the boat a little. Again, no bait. U don't need it. We have had 9 days of limits in our boat this year without a single shiner.
