Default Tru-trip jet divers vs. Dipsy diver

Great site. I'm also new to trolling and read the recent thread about the Tru-trip divers and they sound good. I have also heard a lot of people using Dipsy's. What are the advantages/disadvantages to these and why would you use one or the other. Thanks.

Welcome to the site! Each one has it's day where it's what the walleye want. Hard to believe but it's true. Dipsy's pull harder than jets. Dipsy's can be set to go out to the side left or right, so no boards needed. Dipsy's being weighted sink if you slow down or stop or turn to fast and can snag bottom. Jets float, so you can stop your troll let them float up a bit then start trolling again to get a reaction bite. You can do that with dipsy's but don't be near bottom when you do or you will loose your equipment. That's just some of the basic's.
