Pflueger President reels @ Cabelas
Hi everyone.
I just love reading these boards and getting such great information from all of you that I thought I would pass on a great deal I found. I have been looking for a new reel and through the help of this board, I decided on the Pflueger President model 6735. You can find them just about everywhere for 59.99 but I found it at Cabelas on sale for only $39.99. (48.94 with s/h). The add advertises an extra spool too! I saw the same reel at Dick's yesterday with no extra spool (59.99). i also found that on the Pflueger website, you can get a leatherman tool with any purchase of a new reel for only 8.95. Not too bad!
I am going to buy a St. Croix TRS60MF to go with the reel. Now here is a question for you...What line should I put on it. A buddy of mine said 8# Powerpro. What do you guys think? I'll be doing mostly jigging and casting.
See you out on the lake!
Scott

I use the 10# powerpro for jigging with a barrel swivel and a 2 foot fluorocarbon leader 10# also. Or the fireline crystal with the same setup.
