Won't be long (?)
The ferry starts to run to South Bass on Feb.1 so hopefully the fishing won't be far behind.

Read reports of walley caught yesterday trolling around cone reef. May have to pull the boat north if this weather holds.

Reel Sport goes in the water 1st week of april, but the reports I got today were mind bogging the amount of fish that was caught
today was good, I can't give the report at this moment, but its right were I said they would be. Reel Sport Team.

Eyes, eyes and more eyes
The reef complex out of turtle creek. Start trolling as soon as you get to clean water and a water depth of 22 to 32 ft out of turle creek. Troll at 1.0 mph. 60 to 90 back with reef runners and husky jerks. Color did not seem to matter. Just make sure you can go slow enough. Troll around the deep water around the reefs until you find active fish. The fish are gonna be in 22 to 32 ft of water. Reports from people trying to jig fish were poor Only the trollers caught fish... Hope this helps and good luck...
