It's supposed to get up to 45 tomorrow so it may be worth a try especially if you have cabin fever. I am still fishing marina's for pan fish so I won't join you but let us know how you do. Good luck!

    Smile feb. walleyes

we had same river and winter in the seventies, water high always bring the fish in, no ice, water temps not bad for this time of year, if weather stays same you will see walleyes in the back mud areas mid to late feb, in surprising numbers , I fished
the run now for over 46 years and have allways caught walleyes
well before the groups of fishermen comes down, I.m just giving a little tought to an early run. Wayne Reel Sport Charters

Yesterday the water temp was 36 and the river was at 583 1/2. If the weather holds out like this for 2 to 3 more weeks I WILL be down the last week in February, maybe earlier. An early run HAS happened before. The resident fish will be in there. With no ice, I bet there are some eyes in the bay alreday just waiting for the water temp to go up about 6 more degrees. I'm keepin my fingers crossed.

    Default Must Know You Wayne

If you fished the Perrysburg side of the river for 46 yrs & I have fished it 40 some yrs we had to have met & BS 1 time or the other. Yes Devine was my favorite spot in the old days. Now BW (Doc's Hole) or down at Ft Meigs (off the island). But to be truthful I never caught more than 3 WE 1 day & 1 another day. Now the 1st week of March is a different story.

But still hoping agains hope for a couple of days of ice fishing in SE Mich.

Walleye should start heading up river when the water temp climbs to around 40 degrees and they get cranked up more at 42-45. Peak spawn temp is 47.
Heavy winter is probably just waiting to hit us.
I would love to be out fishing myself but, the boat will wait.
