That's a terrible feeling isn't it. It's going to be awhile before April gets here. I was thinking about skipping winter this year lol.

Take up ice fishing and you'll hate to see the spring thaw come in March. Thank God for the four seasons of fishing!

Man your honey do list is a lot short than mine if you have it done already.

We can either go way south , or for most of us just sit back and endure the cold season. The cold season is still fishable. What is better, 100 degrees of late July with high sun or sitting in an ice shanty on a frozen lake with big yellow perch waiting for your fresh bait ? A mid-winter trip up north for a 3 day weekend on a nice panfish lake is in order. Any favorites ?

here in michigan we have sooo many inland panfish lakes. and the cold belt area (around lake orion) probably has ice on a couple right now. they freeze before any other lakes that I know of. we won't have ice at the boat ramp but a couple of those tiny lakes will freeze over with thin ice. problem is when the ice gets thick, the crappie seem to stop biting. that whole area is mostly springfed little lakes.
