    Put in at Catawba. Headed north of Rattlesnake Is- nothing. Tried south of the island- nothing. Headed SW of Green Is- nothing. Went back in off the cliffs of Catawba by the nets- nothing. Tried the can off Catawba- nothing. We tried spreaders and Skipper9 rigs. Nothing produced. Sounds like the fish were out by Canada.

    We fished in the pack NW of Pelee and west of Pelee on Friday--very slow and saw very little action in the other 20 boats. We did manage 5 perch, one 13 incher, but for 2.5 hrs and 3 rods in the the water, I considered that miserable for perfect day in early October.
