Smile western basin water and perch report

Just got back from the charter boat, make sure its ready for weekend, water at marina down two feet, and muddy, lake was dead calm muddy close to shore, called out to friend who was perching, water clears at 5 mile mark, just south of gravel beds,
at the nine mile mark water was clear between gravel beds and channel, about fifty boats out people were searching and some perch, were being caught, bait stores had shinners, looks good for the weekend, this is the first day anyone is perching since the blow. Wayne, Reel Sport Charters

Default Any chance of catching perch tomorrow??

My brother, son, and I are looking at going out tomorrow. Normally launch out of either Meinke's or Mazurik depending on the reports. Any hints? Does anyone have shiners yet? Will let you know how things go.

    Thanks in advance.

I would think Meinke's would be better for tomorrow due to water prob clearer to the north east like Wayne posted above. Probably like pea soup around the islands.

Smile where to perch western end

mienkes west had shinners, just ask for Mr. weed, as far as starting points, bouy 13, toledo light no. 2, 1 mile east of no. 2,
north end of gravel pits would be my starting points, keep it light (sinker, spreader, single hook rig, skipper 9 rig) rig must be on bottom with slack line, and light poles, this is best I can help you till weekend. wayne

    Default Did decent

Got out around 11. NW of the intake about 1 mile. Perch hit really well for an hour and a half. Moved around for a while but never really got back in to them. Talked to a guy that was on the SE side of West Sister. Everyone there was limiting out on 12"ers.
