Saturday perch fishing report

Started the day off early , got mixed batch of golds and shinners in downtown port clinton. 3 on the boat started with a short run the G can, no real bite but some trash. moved to NW side of rattle. got 1 nice perch and alot of white. moved to E side or rattle found a small hump just north of the loading dock where we got 6 or 7 more but no size to them. moved to niagara we fished about 1/2 mile east of the green can and about 350 yards north. Nothing fancy just normal spreaders one was yellow one was orange and one was purple and pink no bling on hooks. we sat down about 1030 had 3 man limit by 1145 some sorting of the small little trash. bite was very light, all fish caught right off bottom and the bit was more like just feeling a little weight on the line. most fish swallowed the hook and i know we spent more time retreiving the hooks than fishing. there was no differance in the bit between the goldies and the shinners. Was great day, there was a small pack around us and i could see another group up by C can. Hope everyone out there did as well as we did out there. Did not take a preclean weight but we had 10 pounds when cleaned so for the middle of august great day.

Anyone else have a weekend report of perch or walleye from this area
