Started trolling at 6 pm. all kind of marks nothing but whitebass, was trolling jets and spoons, switched to all reef runner deep lip , 100 ft. back 14 walleyes in an hr. and half.
7 keepers 2 to 5lbs, 7 throw backs, 1 mile north east of turnaround, we trolled one planer board side in the green algle,
the other side in the clear water, a ton of walleye marks, lots of mayflys coming off the bottom. finished at 9 pm. only one other boat close to us. THANKS SKIPPER 9 for turning us on to the reef runner colors. Capt.Mike and Wayne reel sport charters

What's the hot colors were you using?

bare naked, hot fire tiger, pink panties, first two were the best,
100 ft. back 1.9 to 2.3 follow the clear water alge line.

are you fishing them on a threeway or bottom bouncer or just by themself sorry for all the questions I havent fish lake erie for 20 years so im a little rusty

Just off planner boards 100 feet back, you may try a 2 oz. snap wieght as alot of big walleye marks on the bottom.

This was day one of a weekend fishing trip for my girlfriend and I. Neither of us had done any walleye or perch fishing, however, we do quite a bit of striper and crappie fishing. I made arrangements with Mike and once he figured out the bite, it was on! Of course, my girlfriend caught first two keeper eyes of the day and the largest to boot! I love that woman, lol. We caught a boatload of white bass before we changed lures, and that was fine with us as we like them just fine. this was a very short notice trip and we were very pleased with how well it turned out. We enjoyed fishing with Mike and Wayne so much, we went the next day for perch.
