Headed over to Crane Creek after the storms rolled through Saturday morning. My boy and I started off casting gold weapons in 10 FOW, and I caught a healthy 23" fish in my second cast. Thought it was going to be on fire, but the fire quickly went out. Headed over and drifted just past the nets, but didn't get any walleye in that area. Moved over to 24 FOW between intake and West Sister, but didn't get any takers in that area. Tried trolling for a while (I am not much of a troller) and picked up a few white bass. After trolling we were ready to call it a day, so I was reeling in a worm harness as fast as I could crank it and a walleye smoked it right at the boat as I was ready to lift the harness out of the water. Maybe that was the technique I should have used all day!
