walleye report 7-16

fished out of meinkes 4 guys plus captn. Started south of west sister caught notta. Moved just north west of island and started to slowly pick away using gold and white colorado weapons. I myself caught four on a gold blade with a red eye on it the biggest being 23". My buddy picked up his ticket on a white blade all fish were on the bottom in 26 ft of water. My dad caught 5 eyes on a chartruse blade. Also the bottom bouncers picked up a few. Once drift died down we finished trolling to pick up the last 4 for a total of 24 eyes 53 lbs awesome day on lake hopefully fish stick around for a few more weeks. trolled 65 back with small spoons with jets picked up last four within an hour. Cant wait to get back out there. Goodluck to all

Fished southeast of D can today. Drifted gold mayfly rigs close to bottom, and had a ok day. 9 fish 16-22 inches. Lost another at the boat and carefully released 2 small walleye. These fish were caught in a 4 hr window. Started the day near Round Reef with no results. Lots of sheep and cats. Good Luck!!!

Ried A can today no luck... M.oved out NW of island and caught 4 keepers and lost a couple at boat. Gold bladed erie dearies and purple weapons at a 20 count. Also caught a couple perch and 1 giant sheephead 24" plus!
