Walleye
Fished yesterday, stopped in at happy-hookers before we went and they said walleye were around L can and it was a ripper bite. They told us green was the best color. I tried that but the fish we marked wouldn't bite. Moved over to the area north of Crane reef and Big Pickerel reef in 24ft. of water marked a good pod of fish tried different crank baits and couldn't get them to bite. So I went back to the same program that worked for me the last time I was out. #40 jet divers 80 ft back and purple and watermelon worm harnesses 2.5mph off big boards. We caught 12 walleye that were between 16 - 20 inches long and caught about 10 short fish. Also caught 15 perch. I was glad,we didn't catch as many sheep head or white bass as we did last time out. We watched a guy drifting and casting saw him get the net out 3 times. Looked to me like trolling was the best bet.
