rookie poster: white perch question
Hey I finally "signed" up my first post
headed up today 3ish, hope to perch 2 days.
my question is this: I have caught some nice size white perch this year, last week fried up white and yellow perch..compared the plates and filets..maybe it’s me but they were pretty good....so is anyone else eating them or am I dumb?

White perch
I keep and eat all the nice size ones. The only real difference I've seen is when you eat them cold after they are cooked the skin is slightly tougher. But you can skin them instead of scaling. Getting some pretty big ones this year. Elrod.

a little stronger taste, and a little tougher to clean, a lot of people save them on our charters, just keep them ice down,
