:D OK I was worried ,thought maybe Capt. Dave bumped his head. I take it your in Afghanistan? I was in the Army and did time in Vietnam. So I know what its like not to be home. Glad you can get on the net. to keep up on things at home. Thanks for your service and letting me know Dave is OK. Stay focused and safe.
This morning early the bite was on down at crane creek, lots of limits brought in running deep little rippers around 14-18 feet of water.
It figures...I was 1 weekend too early. Not sure when I can get up again.
My brother called me and said: They fished the crane creek area this morning and was done at 10:30.They caught 36 walleye using rattle traps and hot-n-tots 30-35 ft. back, little rippers 50 foot back .I am going tomorrow morning I will post a report when I get home.
fished crane creek monday morning casting copper weapons. Caught 4 legal fish and threw back 2 little ones. Started in 20 fow and drifted up to 17. Most walleye I've seen on our boat since 1 good day in april. Lots of marks on screen as well.
Hey fishing crazy, just want to find out a little more information,
when they were tolling, were they running jets or just flat ling
off there boards, what size hot n tots, small or large, what colors, and what speeds were they running, we perch fish around the nets monday and saw a lot of walleye marks, didn't get to troll our crew got sick, and left early.
Thanks Wayne
Wayne, when I slayed em there last year we ran Little Rippers and my dad's WE Bait cranks around 50 back straight off of inline boards...no jets in 14 to 17 FOW around 1.8 to 2.0 speed. Man I can't wait to get back up and fish that bite.
Fished today at Crane Creek and only boated 2 fish in 3 hrs. Bite seemed to be east of K can. Ran Hot N Tots 35 back in 14ft. then 60 back in 18 ft. for our only fish. Very few marks.
Caught 24 walleye tonight with 4 guys fishing from 5:00 - 9:00 NW of Crane Creek in 21 ft of water. Just east of the nets at the 12.2 line. Problem was that we could only keep 7 of them. The others were too small. Also caught 2 dozen sheep head and 4 dozen white perch along with a few white bass. The other surprize was that we caught 10 catfish as well. Went through 6 dozen worms. Casting a #5 v-cut hammered colorado gold blade with green beads. 10 - 12 count.
