We knock 25 nice perch at our honey hole south of g. Took about an hour. We had a failure of the bilge pump that we did not notice till the water was up on the floor. With 4 on board and 2 kids, we pulled anchor and headed home. Thought about stopping at draw bridge to buy a new pump and go back out, but figured not to push fate. Just went home loaded up. Took about 5 mins for the water to stop pouring out the plug.
Bought new pump, and a spare set up to just clip to the battery, leaned learned. Spare parts. LOl

Branamauto I have a primary bilge pump and a secondary mounted slightly higher than the primary just in case. Just a thought.
Thanks Matt
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

My well in this little boat is so small that with the auto float and small 600 gallon pump it fills it up. There is no way yo mount a second pump. The spare is now just a quick clip on and has it own hose.

Water dog is back and on the hunt
H can today, 8 yellow perch, 2 very small walleye and one was a milking (under 12 inches), one very nice white perch.
All walleye were returned to the lake unharmed.
I was using my spreaders and no bling.
I did do the jiggy thing, but a no go, did try a worm harness, and nothing, too soon I think.

H can 4/28/17
Started the day just north of Lakefront Marina in 15 fow, jigging.
Hit a school of white bass, very fun but they were depleting my shiner supply very fast.
Moved to H can, caught some nice yellow perch (15), and 6 walleye. Only two were big enough for keepers.
See the hog in the photo (2 photos of this hog one in the cooler and one with the ruler), a spawned out female and a young milking male.
I caught all this on a spreader, shiners, on the bottom and no bling.
The hog walleye bit on a half shiner and this fish made my day.
Cleaning the perch, I found this may fly larva, well it looks like one.
