The yellow perch fishing is heating up~! Just need to locate a feeding school and you may score some walleye perch fishing.
I have read that east of Kellys is good too, if you go north of Kellys be careful there are some reefs that can hurt your boat (GPS maps are great if you have that).
Hope you have a safe and fun trip.

The cans are the range markers for Camp Perry.
If you Google it you can see the area for Lake Erie.
Re: Water Dogs~ Perch Report
Are yellow cans not marked with letters? Was out this past Saturday saw cans but no letters.

What time were you out!? The bait completely died for us same area around 10. Crappier rigs and spreaders with the thumbtack shiners.

Re: SE of G can 22 fow 24 yellow perch
Wife and I fished by D can this past Saturday, started fishing at 9am, first hour slow, 10-noon pretty steady bite, bite died out around noon stayed till 1pm 31 yellow perch, most 10-11.5 inches, 10lbs at cleaners. Fish on!
Boat ride and some fishing with the Wife~ Aug 8th, 2021
2 hours SE of G can with the wife today.
(that is the time limit set by the higher order and it is not subject to change, even if your catching and on a hot bite)
22 fow, shiners spreaders, 9 yellow perch keepers and 4 big sheep head (fun to catch).
two small throwbacks (unharmed)
most boats were west of us.
back soon,

August 9th, 2021 SE of G can 30 yellow perch~!
2.5 hours today, 30 yellow perch and 12 pounds at the cleaners.
using small emerald shiners, spreaders and no bling.
very nice perch, big fatties, they are eating well.
I put them on the scale at home after they were cleaned and it was 5 pounds and 5 oz, nice~!:o
slow start but once they got on it was up and down!
1 10 inch walleye (returned unharmed but educated)
6 sheep head, not the hogs but still fun to catch.
5 very small white perch.
next two days look iffy, given the weather.
back soon,
