Perchin SE of G can July 25th and July 26 2021 spreader and no bling
two tuff days for the yellow gold SE of G can 22 fow and I did move around to see if that would help.
on July 25 the fog keep me at the docks so a late start.
one yellow perch, one short walleye (returned) and a bunch of white perch, and some sheep head and 3 catfish.
on July 26, 12 yellow perch, 2 small perch returned, one short walleye (returned), and 3 sheep head, one catfish.
the perch have been good size 9-10 inches.
Gut pile report, they are eating gobies, spiney fleas and my goldens.
Back soon

Re: Water Dogs~ Perch Report
Thanks Mike for clearing that up. I meant to say the southeast side of the cans. Hey water dog is the water 22 ft deep southeast of g can. Just not sure if I'm looking at my chart correctly.
July 31, 2021 SE of G Can 22 fow
20 yellow gold, (2 throwbacks just too small and they were not hurt so back you go to get bigger), 4 white perch and 3 sheep head.
using golden shiners, spreaders and on the bottom.
gut pile shows they are eating gobies and spiny fleas.
these perch are very chunky and nice size.
put about 3 hours in to this harvest.
the bite was very light for some of them so watch your pole tip, it moves set the hook~!
the perch when processed produced 2 pounds and 5 oz of meat (I remove the skins because that's what mama wants)
many boats west of me and many boats north up by F can.
back soon

I was east of Niagara away from the pack of trollers. (alot of trollers too!)
Caught a 22 inch walleye on a spreader too!:D
About a dozen sheep head and some white perch too.
The perch weight was 8 pounds at the cleaners. (uncleaned weight)
The waves were not the 2 foot or less as they called for, more like 1-3 and then a 2-4 every now and then.
Still, was a good day on the lake and I did not seem to mind because I was catching fish!:p
heading up to lake erie next weekend for some perch and walleye fishing will be around the kelley’s island area looking for pointers on where to start out fishing?

I cannot give you pointers around Kelleys, however the G can area and F can area are good places to start.
The yellow perch fishing is heating up~! Just need to locate a feeding school and you may score some walleye perch fishing.
I have read that east of Kellys is good too, if you go north of Kellys be careful there are some reefs that can hurt your boat (GPS maps are great if you have that).
Hope you have a safe and fun trip.
