short run today, NW of Lakefront marina in 17 fow, green hair jig tipped with a shiner
10 boats in the area working it
the spreader did get a bite today, but missed the hook up ( spreader tipped with shiners and looking for yellow perch or walleye )
fished 9 to noon
very nice day on the lake

6 more Walleyes ~ perch and sheep head April 8th, 2020
9 am until 11:30, 6 milking walleyes, good eater 17-18 inches.
seems like I have to learn the lesson every day to point the males pie hole away from me when grabbing
dragged a spreader tipped with shiners and did catch one yellow perch
managed to catch two sheep head on the green hair jig tipped with a shiner
NW of Lakefront Marina in 17 fow. about 6 boats in the area working it
foggy in the am, then clearing to a very nice day

April 20th, 2020 more walleye ,zero perch
Fishing the afternoon (1-4 pm), started NW of Lakefront Marina in 17 fow.
No takers in the two drifts, so moved to Clinton Reef in 19 fow.
Caught one sheep head, and managed 5 keeper walleye with one throw back (see photo).
Using the bright green jig tipped with a shiner.
Had 4 hook ups then they were off~!
Spreader did not catch anything`! Using shiners and dragging just off the bottom.

April 22nd, 2020 3 more walleye and no perch
started nw of Lakefront Marina, 17 fow, no takers and water was stained.
went to Round Reef, 19 fow, netted 3 keepers and lost one at the boat.
several hook ups but they got off`!
using the bright green jig tipped with a shiner.
dragging the spreader with shiners, one bite but did not hook up.
water is colder now then it was a week ago.
cold day on the lake, light breeze and was getting some snow.
back at it soon, weather permitting.
