30 more perch at "H"can. 2.5 hours, did some sorting.
7 pounds at the cleaners, boat next to me had 72 for the day, and they were using spreaders with yellow blades.
spreaders , shiners, and no bling for Water Dog.
very light bite, watch your tip and rip some lips off when you see the tip move, or else it will be too late and your bait will be.... fish food.

From the Ohio fishing regulations:
It is unlawful for any person to possess a fish in any form or condition other than whole while on or when unloading the fish from a boat, while wading, or while fishing from shore on any waters in this state where a fishing license is required.
I did not know this! Also, I remember it saying something about it being unlawful to throw "offal" (fish guts) back into the water, but I didn't see it in my quick look.
See sections below:
1501:31-1-02 Definition of terms."Round" when used in describing fish means with head and tail intact.
"Bag limit" means the number, measurement, or weight of any kind of clams, mussels, crayfish, aquatic insects, fish, frogs, turtles, wild birds, and wild quadrupeds permitted to be taken.
"Baiting" means the placing, exposing, depositing, distributing, or scattering of shelled, shucked, or unshelled corn, wheat or other grain, salt or other feed so as to constitute for such wild turkeys, mourning doves or migratory birds, a lure, attraction or enticement to, on or over any area where hunters are attempting to take them.
1501:31-13-01 Sport fishing.
Fish may be taken in any number and of any size unless otherwise restricted by the Ohio Revised Code or other rules of the wildlife division.
It shall be unlawful for any person to possess a fish in any form or condition other than in the round while on or when unloading the fish from a boat, while wading or while fishing from shore on any waters in this state where a fishing license is required as set forth in section 1533.32 of the Revised Code.
********
Keep the fish and take it back with you (just remove enough of the meat for your hook)
This will help with the "shiner crisis" on the lake and getting bait for your spreaders
Fish On~(now lets get back to fishing reports)::D
Can you believe it??
I had a smart a_ _ lawyer bring up the notion that we are not allowed to cut minnows in half to use as bait since the code states..."a fish in any form other than whole while on or when.....". Sorry, but, my God, have we really come to this? I can hear it now, "Save the Emeralds"!! Or..."Sir, you are being charged with the unlawful.....".
Get me out of here.
