Had my "Lucky Charm" with me today. We fished just east of H can and had some fun with the white perch.. a lot of white perch and some white bass. We did manage to get 12 nice yellow perch and 4 sheep head.
My "Lucky Charm" likes to catch any type of fish so she was happy.
Non stop action.:D
There were boats fishing north of us near G can.
(17 fow, spreader minnows on the bottom and no bling and yes a very light bite for the yellow perch)

A lot of white perch but managed to get the 60 yellow perch.

Many boats just west of Rattlesnake.
Only fished 2 hours ~ 15 nice perch and about 8 throw backs.
Some white perch and white bass, and 2 sheep head.

At the docks and the weather looked bad, storms were headed to Port
Clinton.:eek:
So I went shopping at West Marine.
Picked up some needed boat supplies.
Headed back to the docks at 11:00am.
Fished NE of H can again~ up and down one pole.
Had a lot of white perch but managed the 30 yellow perch.
8# pounds at the cleaners.
24 more Yellow Perch NE of H can.
A lot of white perch...... too many white perch...a ton of them... I ran out of minnows~!:mad:
I did keep 2 of the larger white perch... my "Lucky Charm" likes them.
I may have to go to deeper water....so I hear.:confused:
Get plenty of minnows when you go.
At least 4 dozen per person.<----I had this many and still ran out
6# pounds of those tasty yellow perch, at the cleaners and about 8 throw backs.
I only throw back the ones I expect to live and keep those that I don't.
I did catch 4 sheep head, 2 gobies, and 5 white bass.
~Nice Day~ a little sticky but the breeze helped.
Went to my "ole honey hole" just east of the green buoy in 30 fow @ Niagara Reef.
30 Yellow Perch , 7#'s at the cleaners, not hogs but good anyway.
Once they started it was up and down and 4 doubles.
I also got out of those white perch that I have been catching near H Can.
I use a spreader, red true turn hooks, minnows on the bottom ~ and a very light bite. Watch your pole tip and when it wiggles pull some lips off~~:D~~
