Niagra 5/29-5/30

Got a late start on 5/29 Sunday, headed to Niagra, fished the South and East sides marking alot of fish but no takers, trolled along the east edge and swung west along the north edge finally took a nice 25" eye and lost 2 at the boat with several pull backs. Started thundering so I called it a day. On my way in saw three boats with nets out by the north edge of crib reef.
5/30 2 of us headed back out to niagra and fished the west edge and took a 24" eye, circled back and we lost 3 eyes at the boat, my Nephew has never fish the big lake before and he tried to lift the eyes aboard without a net. Bite died about 10:00am but we kept at it, lots of marks through out the whole area. Worked the north edge of the reef but caught nothing, trolled North along the firing range boundry and they turned on for us, we ended up with 9 more eyes and 1 white perch in the area along the firing range boundry between Niagra and C-can. All presentations were either gold or rainbow harness blades on 60 inch harnesses behind jet 40'S with a 50 ft. lead then the board with no preference between the 2 colors. Speeds were 1.2 to 1.8 GPS speed with lots of
S-turns, the slack or stalled boards were the ones that got hit the most
