Fished 4 hrs from 5-9 pm out of cranberry creek in front of castle. Tried anywhere from 16ft to 32 ft. Nothing. Not a strike. Not even a junk fish. Threw everything at them. Lots of debris in the water. As muddy as I've ever seen the water in Erie. At this point I'm looking for perch or walleye.

Went out of Mazuriks Sat morning. Was told at bait shop a guy got 8 walleye on Locust reef in 2 hrs on Friday trolling meat and that we should try that first. We did for about an hour, marked lots of fish, water was extremely muddy, got nothing. Pulled up at 8am and headed north of Kellys, just past the pack of perchers that were south of gull island shoal. Trolled from there to Kelly island shoal. Hit our 1 walleye just short of the Kelly Island shoal on a gold willow harness on a 2 once bottom bouncer 110 back. Went northest of Kelly's to the boarder, nothing. Then switched to perching, managed 6 keepers east of Kellys. Went back to trolling a little SW of Middle Island, got nothing. Ran all over that lake for 1 walleye and 6 perch, fished from 7am - 4pm. Heard some guys on the radio doing well, no idea where they were. Most on the radio were getting them on spoons behind a jet 40 with leads around 60 to 70 ft back. We tried that, didn't work for us. Most people we talked to after we finished got 1 or 2 walleye, we did meet 2 people who did much better, not limits, but still good, and they were in Canada. Tough tough year, good luck.
