Default crappie and perch in Western basis

As my morale for catching walleye has decreased daily, wondering if anyone can give me some insight on perch fishing on the big water? happy hooker website said something about crappie fishing as well. Never done this and would love a backup if the eyes continue to have lock jaw (not all their fault) el nino has a lot to do with that this year. I wouldn't begin to know where to look for them.

    thanks everyone!

    Smile Crappies

The crappies you hear the bait shops discussing are in the Marinas and canals. Never caught one out in the lake. FYI

I have fished the Western Basin for 16 years. I have actually caught one Crappie in all those years and many, many, many miles of trolling. There seems to be a good population in some areas inshore but a Crappie lake, Lake Erie is not.
