Where to?
Most of us ( Me included) are confined to American waters of lake Erie. One thought you may want to consider is the smallmouth fishery off Pelee Island. It is regarded as one of the best in the world. 4-6lb average is not uncommon. I have fished off Long Point north of Pelee in the past and done well, but it was after the water had warmed up (July).
Good Luck and Good Fishing
