Just a question for us southern guys but is the ice of the lake yet?

Ice
Its still out there but completely unsafe. 2" of rain forcasted for this weekend. Could finish it off. type in search box ---Lake Erie satilite imagery---it will direct you to NOAA page. The NOAA page has satilite photos of Lake Erie. FYI

Is there a satellite image of the detroit river? I would liketo check out the mudline patterns before we head out. It is hard to see on the lake erie picture.

Flew over the lake this afternoon on a return trip from Vegas. Maumee bay completely open from little cedar point to mouth of river. Ice ran along south shore fro little cedar point past davis bessie. Could actually see the piles of shove ice running along the south shore between 2 and 6 miles out. Ice is broken up around west sister to bass islands. Could see open water east of the islands. Monroe power plant has about 4 miles of open water along the shore to the south. Detroit river looked clean but not clear. Lake St Clair had open water out in the middle of the lake.
