western basin perch
fished local perch tournament today was greeted with 3 to 5 ft. waves out of east, fished two miles off the turnaround, 4 man limit in 2 hrs, 39.5 lbs perch,
largest were 4 ,11 inchers, our best 30 perch for tourament was 13.42 lbs good enough
for a 4place finish, third place 13.52, second place 15.24 both caught by
middle sister, first place 15.52 for 30 perch caught at vermillion, very little
trash fish, caught 6 rock bass today, hot lures blue pink perch blade spreader,
3 hook crappie rig, and 18 inch single hook rigs, big perch for tour. was 13.75
and 13.50, lots of 11 inch brought in today.

Fished east of Sputnik on Sun. Caught 2 man limit in about 3 hrs. average fis was 9". Beautiful day on the lake.

You can also trailer down to Anchor Point and put in ( free ramping ) it's about 10 mile west on st. rd. 2, turn right ( north ) on Teachout Rd. ( DG's ice cream shop on corner ) go to T and zig-zag into the marina public ramp down on the right.

Fished Saturday, 9/18 1 mile north, northeast of the intake. Kept 108 perch before running out of minnows. Biggest was 10 1/2". Sorted a lot of fish. White perch and small white bass were a pain. Caught one walleye spike, a few sheephead and a few rock bass.

Fished Sat. Not a good day at all. Had boat probs. early and by the time we started fishing the bite must have been off. Fished Intake to Sputnik and everywhere in between. Only caught 28. Can't figure out why, fishing has been great all week.

sunday fishing
greated with 5 to 6 ft. waves out of northeast, started fishing
at 9.00 am. finished at 11.15 am. seven man limit, 210 perch,
smaller than last week, 8 to 10 inch keepers, 44 lbs at cleaners,
toledo light no. 2 area, spreaders and crappie rigs best today,
start on bottom and lift your bait up about two feet, 1 sheephead, and about six small white bass and white perch.
water was clear in this area, clamed down as we went in.

Looking for coordinates...
Going out perching with my dad, brother, and 3 year old son tomorrow, Monday September 20th. Looking for some good coordinates. Either out of Meinke's at Reno Beach or Catawba headed towards Kelly's. Trying to make up our minds. Thanks
