fished out of turtle creek sat. verry windy and tuff conditions, ended up with 7 with two guys all on crawler harness. I think the jig bite is done, but did see some guys catching with them just wasnt working for us. Fished in 9 to 13 ftw, wished could have went out deeper but wind was roasting to ruff for us. Next trip will be tues will post report then. good fishin to all.

They are still biting on jigs.. But you no longer can fish vertical. You have too long line and drift about 1.0 mph. We are catching nice fish off west reef with worm harnesses and bottom bouncers. jandjfishingcharters.com

The thing is that i dont understand is why do the walleye bite jigs for so long and then decied to not want them and go for a crawler harnes? This is somthing that has puzzled me ( is it the action) im sure u can catch them in summer on jigs but harness seem to be the ticket.

Fished Tuesday night 5:30 - 8:00. 12 walleye - 10 on purple jigs - no minnow, 2 on gold deep cup hammered harness with bottom bouncer. Fished just northeast of turtle reef. 10 fish better than 22", 2 fish 16" - 17". Also caught a few white bass as well as a few sheephead. Cast up wind, jig until it drifts past the boat, jig vertical until you cannot feel the bottom and then let out line, fish pick it up when you begin jigging again
