Went to Vermillion

Went to Vermillion friday to perch fish but it was to rough. We moved west in front of the park and drifted in 14-21 fow. Caught 5 eyes and 2 smallmouths. The smallmouth were 19.5" and 21". Nice fish. Man can they tug. The eyes we caught were nice too. 4-5lb males. Still sperming. The water temp is lower ver there. My fishhawk said 51.5 degrees. A good spot was 24/26 on the gps. If ya get a chance to go perch fishing it is worth the trip. They run larger than the west basin (W. Sister, etc). On a side note. Buy your bait here. All the had were pintails. I hate pintails. LOL

I think you mean pinheads not pintails. Pinheads are a small minnow while pintails are a kind of duck, unless that was what you were using for bait, which if you were they must have been big perch.........................
