Default Maumee Bay,Turtle Island to the Intake

Fished wed. and thurs.,tried a few spots from the shipping channel to just east of little cedar point with mixed results, caught fish both days, but the bite was slow. Friday decided to get away from the pack of boats, moved in and east a little,1 1/2 miles n/ne of little cedar point in 12.5 fow, purple hair jigs no minnows. Had 9 fish in 2 1/2 hrs,had to leave at 10:30.

Fished just north of Turtle also, came out of Luna Pier. Caught 10 fish in first half hour, then you had to work for them. Blade baits caught 6 fish, purple hair jig no minnows caught 10. 6-11 ft. of water. The boats showed up about 8 or so and the fish shut down, either the boats or the wind ??? prkr314 was next to you when the rookie caught his first Walleye, Heard ya yelling about it!!!

    Default Move around

I was having the same problem but then started moving a lot more than normal. This ended up being very productive. We get to a spot and if we don't get a fish in 15-20 minutes, we move. Sometimes we only go 100 yards in any direction and get on the fish. Also, on the days when the hair jigs aren't doing the trick, I go to a lighter round jig with GULP minnow grubs. This has seemed to help as well. The "run and gun" technique really helps on the calmer days. Just my two cents worth.
