Fished for perch 3 days, we limited out 2 days of the three.
First day Thursday 7-30: Fished W of Rattlesnake I, got some but was slow. Moved W of Green got a few more. Tried off Marblehead lighthouse got a few more plus a very large catfish. Never caught the limit, don't remember the total.
Day 2 Friday 7-31: fished just N of the yellow B can, got our 2-man limit in about 4 hours. Largest was 10 1/4 inches. The perch seem to prefer shiners cut in half. Got checked by a DNR officer at the Turtle Creek Marina cleaning station. He counted our perch, he said we had 49 yellow and one white perch. He also checked our licenses.
Day 3 Saturday 8-1: fished about 2 miles NE of Kelleys I, got our 2-man limit in about 4 hours. Largest was 10 inches (at least two) and several were 9 to 9 1/2 inches. Fish were slightly larger than the ones at the B can. Fished in 41 FOW. Wind out of the south with 3 foot waves in the afternoon.
The weather was excellent all three days, great to be out on the water fishing and spending time with my brother.
