Late Walleye
I haven't seen too many reports on walleye and was wondering if anyone is catching them around the cans or if it is all perch? I was thinking about going out Saturday. I am out of Elkhart and it is a little drive but I always enjoy the chance to get out on the lake. Thanks for any reports, I always appreciate them.

Re: Late Walleye
Was wondering the same thing. Supposed to come up Saturday with a buddy and was thinking about trying KI shoal, Gull, American Eagle, etc. thinking they might be moving in from the deep areas east and hitting those spots “first” before getting to cans 🤷*♂️

Re: Late Walleye
I would think those Eastern reefs being more productive now than the cans.

Re: Late Walleye
I was going to go Saturday but I dropped my boat off to get an enclosure and it will not be ready until Wednesday. I will be interested in how you do, it looks like the weather will be great

Re: Late Walleye
Western Basin water temperatures are 56-57. Plenty of walleye should be back, all around the Islands, off and NW of Port Clinton, and just north of Cedar Point / just east of Kelleys Island. All you have to do is find active fish. Ridiculous money tournement starts soon, so many people still walleye fishing won't be posting or saying much. Doesn't matter. From the west side of the Camp Perry range to Huron all has walleye. Just do the usual routine of first localing good numbers then "dialing in" the depth and lure presentation.

Re: Late Walleye
It looks like the wind will allow some fishing starting today and through the weekend. Thought I might give it a try too. But I noticed West Basin's comment about a tournament. A tournament sounds like fun. I'm new to Erie fishing, so I looked up this tournament. I am shocked to see that over 6,200 fisherman have signed up for it so far! That's a lot of boats! Now I wonder if there will even be any trailer parking available at the ramps.
