    Default Poll/advice for this weekend

    Hey all!

Heading up tomorrow to close up our rack boat for the year and am gonna sneak in some fishing Friday and Saturday. Question/advice…..should I walleye fish or perch fish? Try for both? Good area to try for each?

Just gonna be me and I will be drifting if I go for walleyes (boat not setup for trolling). Anyone catching them on harnesses/Erie dearies lately?

If yer gonna be out and you see a Rinker named “the island dog” on the water, come say hi!

Always appreciate any/all help/advice! Really enjoy how helpful this forum is!!!

    -Tom

Take your pick both have been slow Drawbridge & the Wharf are both running walleye boats tomorrow Kelly and Gull shoal or western reefs. Perch south of Kellys or D and G cans. Wind is supposed to pick up pretty good NE tomorrow afternoon. Should be ok in the morning.

Agree with eriepro about perch and walleye fishing. But looks like Saturday and Sunday will be too windy to fish.Even Saturday morning looking bad from windsurf forecast.Forcast actually calls for some type of East wind all week.

Ended up getting on the water around 3 and headed toward Marblehead after hearing from bait shop that some people had done well there. Didn’t see anyone else out there so I decided to go north of lakeside where I had some success in the past. There were about 3 boats in the area and I was marking some fish here and there.

Stopped and fished that spot for about an hour and a half with only 1 to show. Decided to pull anchor at 5 and just drift all the way back toward the harbor and bounce for perch and setup a walleye rod too. Ended up with just 1 more perch, a couple short walleye, and some whites.

Might try to make it out tomorrow depending on if this wind comes in or not
