Casting from Catawba?
I’m hoping to get out tomorrow and would really like to do some casting and drifting. Starting from Catawba what are my best bets? I’ve been away for a month. I could troll east of Kelly’s but would like to give casting a shot. Thanks!

Re: Casting from Catawba?
I got my limit in an hour and a half from 7pm to 830 between green and south bass a bit closer to south bass. Seemed equally productive casting gold mayfly rigs and just letting an orange green and copper stinger spoon drag behind a bottom bouncer as there was a good drift. Fish were hitting from the bottom to about 10 feet down in the 15 to 20 inch range and only had 2 throwbacks 1 sheephead and 1 white perch. Right about on the jet express route.

Definitely the area between Green/Rattlesnake and the Bass Islands typically has a lot of resident Walleyes this time of year. I drift the "up-slopes" looking for the good depth and the active pods. Good luck!
