went out fri afternoon in maumee bay, lots of bites, one to boat, otherwise
no walleyes, fished the maumee 5 to 8.00 pm. 3 men 10 walleye, 7 white bass, sheephead and quillbacks, sat morning tryed river by 475 bridge,
3 walleyes 7 white bass 1 quill back, 3 guys all three trips, walleyes caught
17 inches to 4lbs,

think he is refering to what we call quillback carp suckers. Not what you would call fine eating.

yes it is a sucker, looks some what like a carp, point I was trying to say
was you are catching every spices in the river now in short period of time
with few crowds, and with most people getting sunk that I talk to in the
lake, a very fine fishery is still happening in the river, with very light crowds.
