Perch

Finally got out for some Perch this morning. Little late getting out as there was a detour on rt2 to get to the lake. Minnows were micro small but at least there were some shinners!! About one inch long and barely bigger around than the hook !! Found many packs of boats from one to three miles off shore from Metzgers Marsh, west to the intake and on to little cedar point area. Did not see anyone catching at a high rate, myself included. A good dozen throwbacks from being undersize and a few farm animals. Only kept 7, but those were 9" plus. Beautifull day, nice breeze, good marks but little interest from the Perch. By one pm the clouds left, breeze died, it became an oven so called it quits...keep tellin myself...anyday now.......

Thanks for the report, I am out of Elkhart and I am just waiting to hear of some limits being caught before I head that way
