Perch July 29th and 30th

My friend from HS said two of them got into large perch Fri am at American Eagle Shoal. They got a limit by 11:00 with shiners from Highway Bait. All big perch.
Where did my son and I go this morning along with about three other guys who were given the info? American Eagle Shoal area. It was like a light switch, and all four boats reported they could not get anything going today.

If it makes you feel any better , I was in my boat but the same as you this morning. Started east of Kelly's looking for Eyes at 7:30. Was seeing some nice fish on the finder. Nothing would bite. Went to the shoals , and south of southbass at about 10:30. There had to be 75 boats. I stayed here until 12:30... trying to figure out where the fish are. We caught a Blue channel coming into mazeruk today. That is it. Very rough day.

Perch were biting south of Green on Saturday and Sunday. Not sure if they're still there
