Made it out again near the D-River earlier this week on my buddy Jim's boat. We started out in some greenish stained water that looked perfect for trolling cranks, but after 10-12 white bass, we decided to try moving in closer where there was a pocket of cleaner water. Not crystal clear, as it still had a greenish/chalky tint to it. After about 7 or 8 giant smallies, we thought maybe we needed to make another move, but then the walleyes started showing up. We kept trolling to the E and from then on it was mostly walleyes. Nice fish too. Best speeds were 1.8 - 1.9, leads were 20-25, pushing the boards way out from the boat seemed to matter. We started the day with one side tight to the boat and the other side I pushed out 70/110/150 from the boat. All the action was on the "far" side, so we moved them all out. There were very few boats in the area, so we could have ran them 250 out and not bothered anyone.

Can't wait to get back out there this weekend. Cheers!
