We switched to Sam's pro releases a few few years ago and will never look back. Sam's pro release on the front and OR16 with a pin in the rear. We run them with 30lb power pro and an 8' floro leader. A quick snap of the wrist and they release and swing right to the back of the boat. No issues with slipping even in 4' waves. We do tighten the release some in really rough waters to eliminate false releases.

Just bought a spool of berkley xt 14lb test I will be running on my lines counters with inlines, line diameter is a little bigger than the 10lb test but I will just guesstimate how much line to put out. Tight lines mates

Went with the 20 Lb that Jules suggested. Fished yesterday. Caught a two man limit plus lost 4 or 5 at the boat. Good day to be on the lake.
