Started fishing last Saturday and went nearly everyday thru tournament days. The most consistent bite i could find was due east of kellys pretty much out from the airport. Everyday when i checked it, the fish moved a little further east.
No matter where i fished over the week, 42 to 46 foot of water held the best numbers for us. Due to rough conditions i would drive east over the waves out to 45 foot until i no longer marked schools of fish. Set with wind and waves at our backs and ride back westerly.
We cycled every color of bandit, reaper, hj and p10 we owned. A stock prizm sided, blue backed green belly bandit caught nearly 60 percent of all our fish. We pulled 120 to 65 back. 70 and 80 was our best numbers. When it was rolling and rough waves we caught them right next to the boat. When it went flat they came higher up but boards had to be as far away as possible.
We scored 55 pounds even for the weekend. Just under 5# was our ever fish from that area.
