We had our best success today 4/18 around L can in 20-22 FOW. Using hair jigs, water was cleaner out there as well.

Picked minnows up at Happy Hooker at 6:15 on the water at 7:00 out of Fenwick. Lots of boats! moved all around in front of Fenwick out to Locost and Cone reefs and only got two 20 inchers on purple haired jigs. Talked to several guys on the the water (cound almost walk from boat to boat) and didn't seem anyone was doing too good. Left at 11:00 with several others and at the dock talked with a couple others that only had one walleye. They stated they limited yesterday in the same spot. Can't wait to hear how many Walleytewacker got today. It's already 5:45pm and he hasn't posted yet. Do you think maybe his boat sank from the weight of all the walleye he caught today????

An honest 3 man limit, first this year. And one nice size small mouth, gotta let them go though. Lost a few at the boat, there in there.

    Default Fri / Sat Report

Went out on Friday and had good luck in 13 -20' right out from turtle creek using hair jigs and some blades. The bite from 6am-8am was awesome. Had a 4 man limit by 9:30. Tried some of the reefs in the late morning/ afternoon(looking for some big ones, throw back a smaller one) but it was muddy to the east and north. Did the same thing on Saturday, 6am -9:30. Then went to search for bigger fish out a little farther. Ended up near the L can and caught several more 19" fish. Had 1 drift on Sunday but couldn't hold the boat and had some guys getting sick so we called it a weekend. It was worth being on our spot before the sun came up before all of the boat traffic. Had 4 man limits for both days, 3.5 pound average, 5 pound was our biggest. Thanks to everyone posting fishing reports. I'll probably go back out again soon; when the weather breaks again.
