So me and neighbor Bob were going to go perching, he took off to pick up the minnows while I uncovered and prepped the boat. He returned after 15 minutes and had a flat tire alarm, so he pumped up his tire. We talked and decided that since it was almost 7 AM and since there was very little wind at the time and was the forecast was to be no to low winds, we would Walleye instead. The plan was also to be back up the river by noon to avoid the heat, this did not happen, made the drawbridge near 2 PM. So we stayed close to Port Clinton due to the planned 12 done time. Set up South of F can on the range at 8:15, had 2 boxed and had another keeper came off a foot shy of the net by 8:30. Trolled North to 27' and then back South of the can then back North. Breeze was more than forecast later morning and we had quite a few big groups of clouds that kept us cool while fishing, Another story for the temperature while cleaning the boat and the fish. Ended with 10 keepers, good eaters nothing over 20", not sure how many shorts 30 - 40? A couple of white ones and a couple of drum. Seemed like the bite quit near 12 PM, about the time our cloud cover left us. Ran 5-#1 Dipsey's at settings 3.5/55'-62',2/42-45'/.5/30-32' all with Spoons, Best spoon was probably Barney STD, followed by the yeck Super muffin copper back. Also ran a true trip 30 diver at 75' with a crawler harness with a chartreuse Colorado blade that was very active also. Best speed was 2.5 -2.7.

Beautiful day on the lake!
