Yellow Perch Sunday 8/22/21

Started SE of D-Can in about 27 FOW. Fish were all 8 inches or better but were slow and eventually quit by around 9:30. Went NE of Green Bouy at Niagra in 31 FOW. Nice fish here as well with some throwbacks mixed in. Had limit by 11AM.

Thanks for that report Frank. I was hoping someone out of all the boats fishing those areas would post a report. Hope to get out this week.

We fished out in front of Port Clinton Friday and Saturday. We were on the eastern side of the big pack. 30-31 FOW. It was a slow pick and we moved several times each day. Got 34 Friday 11lbs and 38 Saturday 14lbs. Lots of throwbacks on Saturday. Friday they seemed like they shut off around noon.

Fished Friday and Saturday South Of D can on a neighbors boat, crew of 4. Friday edge of pack, Saturday somewhat in pack. 71 Perch Friday, 26#, had a good bite going until the wind quit before 10 AM and so did the bite. Saturday, same area 31 Perch, bite poor. Ended with 11#. Biggest Perch each day was 12". Fished Friday from 8:00 to 1:00, Saturday from 8:15 to 12:30. Friday catch rate was 20 first hour, 26 2nd, 15 3rd, 7 4th and 3 last hour,
so bite never started back up. Saturday was not good, 8,9,9,5 per each hour except the last which was 1.25 hours.

Fished 1 mile north of Niagara green Can picked up 30 nice perch... bite was slow 830am to 12:30 pm Hey filled 3qrt freezer bags though !! 4 of us !! Yes this was this morning Tuesday!!

Fished last Saturday. Started out south of Rattlesnake about 1/2 mile caught one and 10 sheephead. Moved a bit south more direct in line with green and rattlesnake caught one perch, 2 sheephead and a catfish. Decided to head towards D can. Stopped at the edge of the pack about a 1/2 mile from the can. Good marks but bite was very,very slow. Caught 20 nice Perch. Then started to get really hot. So we came in. Fished from 6:30-11:00
